El Criollo Peruvian Cuisine Reviews

Came here for lunch on a Sunday about 1:30 PM. Not busy at all probably only about one other table. Very mom and Pop spot. They only take cash or Zelle. They do not accept credit cards. I ordered the steak Lotto and my friend ordered the chicken tallarin Verde. Soltado was very flavorful. I asked for no onions and it came out perfect. I had tons of tomato and sauce with a scoop of rice. They did not short change me on the steak either! The pesto pasta didn't really do it for us. It was very light, but something was lacking in flavor. He ended up taking a lot of of it home. Service was great. There was one lady who was doing it all. Very sweet woman. Predominantly Spanish-speaking. Very welcoming environment.

Very cute place. The owner/chef was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Food was very good I had saltado de pollo and wife had lomo saltado.. plates had a big portion that we couldn't finish overall it was good. Will be back when in the area

Great food! Make a reservation as they might not serve you if you don't. The place is in a random neighborhood that I didn't expect a highly rated restaurant to be, so keep that in mind. The flavor of the lomo saltado was amazing. Highly highly recommend. Friendly staff too! Zelle or cash only.

Ate there for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! I had the limo saltado and it was so flavorful ! It's came with a side of their home made green sauce and I was obsessed! The owner is an absolute gentleman! Greeted us and made us feel at home! If you wanna try this place don't hesitate ! You'll love it!

Lomo saltado was superb! Service was great, got served by the chef/owner himself. As a matter of fact he was so cool that he was closed already and he opened the door just for us. Location is kinda secluded, but meets all expectations when walking in. I will definitely be bringing my wife back again very very soon. Like tomorrow lol

First of all the cook/owner, Marco was awesome! A todo dar! Super nice and down to earth! His food though was yummmmmms! Plate licking good! We had the fish ceviche and beef lomo saltado. Will not only be coming back to eat but to enjoy more conversation with him.

4++ If it wasn't for Yelp, I probably wouldn't have known this place existed. This Peruvian restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall on a smaller road in City of Industry. I came in for lunch one day a while back and it wasn't too busy. Looks like a place that gets busier at night or the weekends. Got seated right right away. Couldn't really decide what I wanted, so I went with my go to Peruvian dish when I'm unfamiliar with a spot or have trouble deciding: lomo saltado. I thought this was done really well. The sauteed beef was really tasty along the veggies served with rice. I could've sworn there's a little vanilla used in the recipe... I was the only one in the restaurant at the time and it smelled a little like delicious waffle cone you smell at those ice cream shops. Overall, the food was great and service / people were friendly. Great neighborhood spot.

This place can be easy to miss from the main road, but this is definitely a place you do not want to miss out on. A group of us ordered here for an office birthday (was a special request). We called in for a takeout order and the order was ready promptly. When we arrived, our orders were ready to go and bagged up for us so we could be on our way. One note here: A box of food did spill open in the car on the drive back. Better packaging is a necessity with the textures of food typically being ordered here. The staff was personable and the restaurant was clean. We were told they have a private room available for rent. No liquor license. Food was amazing and still hot by the time we got back. There's a few other options I look forward to trying in the future.

Very casual ambiance. We had a hankering for Peruvian ceviche and this place delivered. We also enjoyed the Lomo Saltado and Tallarin Saltado, tasty but it seems like older dry meat was mixed in with fresh juicy just grilled meat so it was hit or miss with every bite. All in all nice lunch.

This place is simply AMAZING. You would never think this little hole in the wall would hold such treasures. The man who owns this place is a wonderful human being! He cares and is passionate about his food. You can tell it is made with love. The ambiance in this establishment is warm and inviting. They have beautiful Peruvian food and it is stellar! The quality of the meat is top notch and the lomo saltado is one of the best I've ever had and the tallarin was not too salty, just right. I am going back today to take my bestie to celebrate her birthday and I just know she will fall in love with it! The service came with a huge smile, a gracious dollop of love, and awesome conversation. I will keep coming back to El Criollo as long as it exists.
